Unfortunately, no.
Most inspections are free, but there is a fee for estimates revolving around real estate transactions. We also charge for estimates outside of our service area. If the out-of-area estimate or real estate inspection leads to a contracted job, Smouse Bros will discount the price of the fee from the total cost of the job.

We provide interior and exterior drainage systems, sump pump installations, vapor barriers, and foundation sealing solutions.
Yes! Keeping your basement dry reduces moisture levels, preventing mold growth and improving air quality.
Pricing depends on the extent of water issues and the solutions required. We offer custom plans and financing options.
Crawl Space Solutions FAQs
Encapsulation or vapor barriers help prevent moisture issues, mold growth, and structural damage while improving energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Signs include:
- Musty odors
- High humidity
- Visible mold growth
- Standing water
- Sagging floors above the crawl space
- Soft floors
- Cracks in drywall
- Sticking doors
Encapsulation seals the entire crawl space with a vapor barrier while waterproofing focuses on controlling water intrusion to prevent flooding or excess moisture.
Concrete Leveling & Drainage FAQs
Soil erosion, poor compaction, and water intrusion can cause concrete slabs to shift and settle over time.
Concrete leveling restores sunken or uneven concrete by lifting it back to its original position. We use polyjacking, also known as polyurethane foam injection, or traditional mudjacking to stabilize and support slabs.
Polyjacking is a modern, high-tech method of concrete lifting that uses expanding polyurethane foam. Unlike mudjacking, which relies on a heavy cement-based slurry, polyjacking is:
- Lightweight and long-lasting
- Less invasive with smaller injection holes
- Quick-curing, allowing for same-day use of repaired surfaces
Polyjacking can be used on driveways, sidewalks, patios, garage floors, pool decks, and industrial concrete slabs.
Proper drainage solutions, such as French drains, downspout extensions, and regrading, help redirect water away from your foundation and concrete surfaces to prevent sinking and erosion.
Wood Damage, Dry Rot, & Termite Repair FAQs
Yes! We repair and replace damaged wooden structural components, such as beams, joists, and subflooring, to restore the strength and stability of your home.
Dry rot is a type of fungal decay that weakens wood by breaking down its structure. It thrives in damp, humid conditions, particularly in crawl spaces and basements. Left untreated, dry rot can compromise the integrity of floors, walls, and other wooden structures.
Signs of dry rot include:
- Wood that appears cracked, brittle, or shrunken
- A musty or mildew-like odor
- Discoloration or dark patches on wooden surfaces
- A spongy or weak texture when pressed
If you notice any of these signs, contact us for an inspection.
Yes! We replace and reinforce wood that has been damaged by termites to restore your home’s structural integrity. However, we do NOT provide termite extermination services.
No. While we specialize in repairing termite-damaged wood, we do not exterminate termites. If you suspect an active termite infestation, we recommend contacting a professional pest control company before scheduling repairs.
The best way to prevent dry rot and termite damage is to control moisture levels in your home. Our crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing, and drainage solutions can help keep your foundation dry and protect wooden structures from future damage.
